Cookie Policy

An explanation of cookies, related technologies and browser controls.

Browser storage & website features

1. About this policy

This policy explains cookies and related browser storage in the context of the PHMAYON website. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy for information about enquiries and personal information.

The cookies present during a visit depend on the website features, plugins and supporting services that are configured.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or service can store in your browser. They can support functions such as keeping a user signed in, remembering a preference or performing a security check.

Some cookies last for a browser session. Others can remain until their expiry or until you remove them. Related technologies, such as local storage, can also save information on a device.

3. Default theme features

The PHMAYON theme does not add visitor analytics scripts, advertising trackers or marketing cookies by default.

The mobile navigation and expandable FAQ sections work without saving preferences in cookies or local storage. Their open or closed state is not retained by the theme between visits.

These statements describe the theme itself. They do not establish that every plugin, hosting service or third-party feature used by the website behaves the same way.

4. WordPress administration

WordPress may use cookies for login, authentication and administrative preferences. These functions are particularly relevant to authorised users managing the website.

Cookies associated with administration should not be confused with the storage used by an ordinary public page view. Actual behaviour depends on the features being used.

5. Contact form processing

The theme’s contact form does not create a visitor cookie or local storage entry for its submission rate limit.

Instead, it temporarily stores a keyed hash derived from the connection address reported by the server. This server-side value helps limit repeated submissions for approximately 90 seconds.

The form also includes a WordPress verification token. This token appears in the form submission and is not a marketing tracker.

More information about enquiries and technical information is available in the Privacy Policy .

6. Hosting and security services

Services supporting website delivery and security may use cookies or similar mechanisms. For example, a configured security service may need to remember the result of a browser check.

The names, purposes and duration of such cookies depend on the provider and its configuration. They are not defined solely by this WordPress theme.

7. Optional analytics and advertising

If analytics or advertising tools are added, they may introduce additional cookies, identifiers or information processing.

This policy should then identify the services actually in use, explain their purposes and describe the available choices. Where consent is required, the relevant optional tools should remain inactive until the appropriate choice is made.

8. Embedded content and social links

An embedded map, video, social post or other third-party feature can behave differently from an ordinary text link. Embedded content may contact the external service while the page is being viewed.

By default, the theme’s social icons are ordinary links. They do not load embedded social feeds. Following a link takes you to the external service, where its own practices apply.

If embedded features are added later, their behaviour should be reviewed and reflected in the website’s information and controls.

9. Your browser controls

Your browser may let you inspect, delete or block cookies and other website storage. The available settings and their names vary between browsers.

  • Review stored site data through your browser’s privacy settings.
  • Remove existing cookies or storage for a particular website.
  • Adjust whether sites can save cookies or use third-party cookies.
  • Review any separate choices offered by a configured website service.

Removing stored information may reset preferences or sign you out. Blocking cookies can affect login, security checks or other functions.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when website features or supporting services change. Its description should reflect the website’s actual configuration rather than tools that are merely available to install.
